CAMHS Crisis Service - Although the Crisis Team operate on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis, all new referrals between 9am and 5pm Monday- Friday should be directed to the appropriate contact point (Hull: 01482 303688 or East Riding: 01482 303810) who will discuss the issues and determine if a Crisis Team response is needed. Out of these times please contact the Crisis Service on 01482 301701 and select Option 2.
Please note, there may be times when CAMHS is already supporting young people in crisis on this number or are out on visits. In this is the case, please leave a message on our answer machine and we will return your call as soon as possible.
In an emergency:
Emergency Doctor: All GP surgeries have an out-of-hours number that you can call in an emergency.
Accident and Emergency Departments: If you are not able to obtain the support you need through the methods above, you can call 999 or go to your nearest A&E department. They will be able to assess your needs and contact mental health services to arrange an assessment or hospitalisation if necessary.
111 service: If you are feeling unwell and need a telephone health assessment, please call the NHS 111 service free of charge from any phone by dialling 111.
Samaritans: If you feel you urgently need to speak to someone, the Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on 08457 909090.
Police: If the person you care for is being violent, threatening or you feel at risk, you should contact the police directly by dialling 999.
